As our News Writer intern, you’ll report and write articles for our award-winning, nationally circulated magazine, Facts & Trends, and our website, FactsAndTrends.net. You'll also write news and produce feature stories for our employee magazine and intranet. This position is located at our Nashville, Tennessee headquarters.
Write and edit stories for magazines and internal communications
Research facts and conduct interviews with acclaimed authors and experts
Collaborate with experienced journalists to develop story ideas, build sources, and edit content
Have the opportunity to produce multimedia journalism, including audio and video news and photography
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with campus newspaper, magazine, website, or other media outlet
Keen interest in news, current events, culture, faith, and issues that affect churches
Ability to grasp complex issues quickly and explain them in simple, concise language
Multimedia production skills preferred but not required
Must participate in the entirety of the program: June 4-August 3, 2018
Must be enrolled in a related program of study
Candidates must be currently enrolled at a college or university in an undergraduate or graduate program, and have fully completed at least two years of study. Recent graduates are eligible if they graduated the semester immediately prior (Spring 2018 graduates only)
