    The Merchandising Support Specialist will support LifeWay retail stores by managing and executing customer and store product orders and assisting in ongoing operations of Merchandising processes.


    • Execute custom and other special orders that require manual support (e.g. custom bookbinding, hymnal and Bible imprinting, expedited orders, external vendor curriculum); monitor and troubleshoot open special orders (custom and standard), providing timely feedback and savvy solutions for order fulfillment
    • Manage and execute purchase order entry for major corporate events as well as individual store events; process purchase orders for event-related products; return unsold event product back to vendors within terms of vendor agreements, when applicable. Procure products for internal and external clients
    • Enter purchase orders for products related to Marketing strategies, such as giveaways, workshops, visual supplies, and POP/promotional supplies, ensuring timely delivery of product to ensure smooth strategy execution
    • Manage order transmission for non-EDI vendors; enters non-replenishment promotional product purchase orders; provide backup assistance to Replenishment and Merchandise Support teams


    • 1-2 years of experience, involving vendor management, procurement, and/or customer service
    • Demonstrated Microsoft Excel capabilities, with an ability to manage several thousand rows effectively
    • Proven organizational skills and the ability to multi-task areas of dissimilar work
    • Must be able to learn and function well in LifeWay's host and replenishment software and their associated processes
    • Ability to articulate and able to communicate effectively with stores, internal partners, and vendors
