    Located in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee, our headquarters team leads, produces, and delivers biblical solutions to fulfill the mission and vision of LifeWay.


    The Marketing Strategist & Brand Manager will lead cross-functionally to develop short and long term marketing strategies for Explore the Bible, LifeWay's curriculum brand driven by an expository or book-by-book study philosophy, with the objective of growing the number of churches served and the depth to which we serve them.


    • Develop and execute annual marketing strategy to achieve fiscal year objectives, using relevant disciplines including: social media, advertising, content, event/tradeshow, direct response, website, strategic partnerships, customer and prospect list management

    • Build customer networks and brand representation at marketing events 

    • Along with a cross-functional brand leadership team, maintain a long term (3 year) brand development view, including setting milestones, brand growth indicators and objectives, mapping critical steps, and identifying customer research needs

    • Work with a creative team to define and implement consistent brand standards for product and marketing, including identifying needs for updates and refreshes

    • Lead cross-functionally in implementing the brand's annual growth plan, including ensuring vital teams are briefed and resourced accordingly to participate.  Cross-functional teams may include: age-level marketing, Training, Customer Service, LifeWay.com staff and Church Partners.  

    • Develop (and maintain) concise-yet-clear brand, campaign and creative briefs to precisely focus creative teams designing brand communications and assets

    • Review and proof all marketing actions created for brand


    • 6 years of relevant experience

    • Proven ability to develop growth strategies

    • Strong skills in customer interaction and presentations

    • Proven multi-discipline marketing skill set, including social media, advertising, and email marketing

    • Project Management experience

    • Abilty to lead cross-functional teams

    • Experience on a church staff (Pastor or ministry leader) strongly preferred

    Minimum Education Required

    Master's degree from a Seminary, or in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or related


    This position requires active membership in a Southern Baptist Church.
