    LifeWay Human Resources Department, currently has an opening for a full time Benefits Specialist (Total Rewards).  Position is responsible for the administration of established benefit programs. Developes and recommends new and improved policies, plans and processes with regard to employee benefits. Assures compliance with all regulatory requirements as it pertains to LifeWay.


    • Oversees daily operations & administration of employee and retiree benefit plans.
    • Evaluates and recommends improvements to existing processes; researches and recommends new/future opportunities and development.
    • Provides documentation & reports to ensure accuracy of internal processes and regulatory compliance.
    • Provides advice, guidance, correspondence to managers and employees related to benefits administration which includes 401k and defined benefit plan as well as leading the 401k retirement committee.
    • Leads benefits onboarding for new employee orientation; coordinates education & training for new benefits and annual open enrollment.
    • Manages special projects as assigned; assists with design and development of new benefit plans.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and internal partners.


    • Must have benefits experience (retirement, medical, life, 401k) required. 
    • Seven (7) years related and progressively responsible job experience.
    • Five (5) years individual and group insurance; self-funded and group benefits.
    • Two (2) years facilitating education/training including preparing presentations.

    Minimum Education Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required. 
    • CBP, CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP or other applicable HR or benefits related certifications.

    • Written and verbal communication - Advanced
    • Ability to multi-task multiple projects, assignments, and responsibilities.
    • Expert human relations skills; team and collaborative skills.
    • Strong organizational and problem solving experience required.
    • Intermediate general business understanding and knowledge.
    • Ability to deliver projects on schedule.
    • Consultation skills required.  
    • Willing and able to travel for annual open enrollment.
