    The Content Editor & Brand Owner edits assigned products to ensure the development of trustworthy content that leads to transformational experiences. The Content Editor and Brand Owner ensures biblical accuracy and edits to the Baptist Faith and Message and conservative evangelical theology. The Content Editor ensures instructional soundness and relevance of the content to the target audience.


    • Roots the assigned products in Scripture to create trustworthy content that is in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message and conservative evangelical theology and is linguistically accurate.
    • Edits given projects with technical accuracy and biblical soundness. Shows knowledge of each of Lifeway's target audiences. 
    • Regularly engages in conversations with church leaders to listen, encourage, and discover ways to pursue the savvy as church practices are more fully understood and customer needs are discovered.
    • Takes the initiative to participate in ongoing training to more fully understand editorial processes, updates to current technologies used, digital delivery of products, and leadership principles.
    • Assumes ownership of the resources worked on by thinking of training products and participating in training events as assigned. Develops partner resources that add value and "make it easy for Her."


    • 5 years of church staff and denominational experience
    • Master's degree in theology, Christian education, urban education, K-12 education, English, or communications preferred
    • Ability to effectively use current LifeWay production software and apply LifeWay style and grammar rule
    • Team player who is able to work with peers and management to carry out the mission and vision of the division
    • Ability to create print and digital solutions
    • Ability to generate content and significantly rewrite/adapt authors' submissions as needed
    • Respect for economic and cultural diversity and experience working with diverse groups of people
