    The Digital Marketing & Social Media Specialist helps Adult Ministry serve churches in their mission of making disciples by serving as a member of a team that executes marketing strategy for assigned brands in order to achieve business goals. This position will manage day-to-day operations of editing and posting online content, facilitating and moderating an online community, and strategically managing all social media channels. 


    • Participates in decision making and recommends solutions to problems related to customer engagement and social media.
    • Develops the social media and PR strategy component of the team's marketing campaigns, as led by the marketing strategist or leader. 
    • Manages day-to-day operation of assigned blogs, including writing, editing, scheduling, posting, and interacting with customers through comments and email. Coordinates online Bible studies and manages process to continually improve customer experience.
    • Manages LifeWay Women Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter accounts daily and during off-site events. Develops growth plans for priority brands and maintains timely engagement and responsiveness to customers through social platforms, maintaining the branded voice.
    • Coordinates planning and implementation of weekly and monthly LifeWay Women email newsletters.
    • Develops and implements PR and social media plans that are appropriate for the target audience and that clearly communicates the value proposition and agreed-upon positioning and prompts the desired response
    • Reports response and ROI on implemented social marketing actions. Stays current on digital marketing tactics and techniques that allow for improving social engagement and implementing strategic growth plans. Consults with strategists as they plan their marketing campaigns to ensure maximum response to social actions, recommending extended campaign creative into social arenas.
    • Participate in weekly production meetings and regular project meetings to maintain clear lines of team communication and hit scheduled dates.


    • Bachelor’s in Business, Communication or related field
    • 3-5 years of experience in the following areas: editorial & publishing, social media, marketing/PR, project management, customer service
    • Advanced editorial and grammatical skills; detail oriented
    • Customer centric 
    • Professional experience with social tools, platforms, and devices including Instagram, Instagram Stories, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, blog writing, graphics
    • Knowledge of SBC, evangelicalism, and theological understanding
    • Analytical and reasoning skills
    • Basic HTML knowledge
