    LifeWay IT is looking for a highly collaborative Senior MicroStrategy Business Intelligence Engineer who can work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will design and build business intelligence applications to meet the needs of customers and business processes, while developing on-going relationships used to understand and resolve problems or design enhancements. Integrates data between disparate systems using common practices such as ETL, enterprise integration patterns etc., while developing and maintaining existing integrations.

     

    This position will play a key role in the facilitation of communication, collaboration, and integration between business systems and teams. This includes accelerating the development and implementation of future systems while maintaining legacy systems. In this role, you will create and implement user interface components. You will have the opportunity to combine the art of design with the art of programming with PL/SQL. You will work with the UI/UX designer(s) and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide technical and team leadership for business intelligence group supporting organizational finance, strategy, and analysis operations
    • Lead business intelligence platform integration and maintenance, defining and building reports and dashboards
    • Manage big data and advanced analytics initiatives, data integration/engineering, and business intelligence and data warehousing
    • Help increase business performance through revenue or efficiency gains, as a result of the business intelligence team’s efforts
    • Align team priorities with needs of the business; work closely with internal stakeholders to implement solutions
    • Lead development of our business intelligence platform, with responsibilities including tool selection, hands-on development, change management, prioritization, and training
    • Implement best practices in data visualization and information design
    • Develops and implements integration designs
    • Performs integration maintenance and troubleshoots technical problems
    • Conducts data mining and modeling
    • Collaborates with internal and external departments to accomplish various tasks and projects
    • Designs test plans, performs unit test, and debug problems

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer science, information technology, or related degree
    • 5+ years of progressive information technology experience with MicroStrategy
    • Experience working with cross functional teams to deliver business value through data
    • Experience analyzing high volumes of data for multiple purposes in a dynamic environment
    • Strong knowledge of data modeling and processes - including forecasting
    • Track record in driving a data-driven culture across business units
    • Experience with integrated BI platforms including MicroStrategy and Business Objects
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), Oracle, and/or SAP
    • Finance strategy, analysis and forecasting experience strongly preferred
    • System administration skills, application customization skills, nominal programming and the ability to analyze a given problem, diagnose it and find its root cause, then either solve it or escalate accordingly
    • Knowledge of EIP (enterprise integration patterns) and ETL (extract transform load) patterns strongly preferred
    • Knowledge of systems and database languages
    • PL/SQL
