As our Communications and News Writer intern, you’ll will work closely with our team to develop and deliver engaging, multi-channel messages both externally and internally. Additionally, you’ll report and write articles for FactsAndTrends.net, and write news and feature stories for our employee intranet. This position is located at our Nashville, Tennessee headquarters.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with campus newspaper, magazine, website, or other media outlet; familiar with AP style
Keen interest in news, current events, culture, faith, and issues that affect churches
Demonstrated ability to multitask and hit numerous deadlines simultaneously
Ability to grasp complex issues quickly and explain them in simple, concise language
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Skilled in – or interested in learning – Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
Familiar with HTML and social media preferred but not required
Multimedia production skills preferred but not required
Must participate in the entirety of the program: June 3 - August 2, 2019
Must be enrolled in a related program of study (Majoring in English, Communications, Journalism)
Candidates must be currently enrolled at a college or university in an undergraduate or graduate program, and have fully completed at least two years of study. Recent graduates are eligible if they graduated the semester immediately prior (Spring 2019 graduates only).
