    We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong API and back-end development skills who is motivated and interested in building services and integrations in modern, functional programming paradigms. You will work in a highly collaborative environment with teammates from varying backgrounds and skill sets coming together to solve challenging problems as a team.

    Responsibilities

    The Software Engineer will:

    • Design and code integrations using REST APIs and event driven technologies (ie: Kafka)
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
    • Provide test plan, unit test development and maintenance and UAT testing support
    • Develop and improve relationships with internal customers and other divisional teams to accomplish various tasks and projects
    • Evaluate hardware and software
    • Develop and execute plans for system and network implementations, maintenance, enhancements, and configuration changes
    • Exhibit leadership abilities within the team and mentor other developers

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent work experience
    • 3 years experience in development and maintenance roles with an IT organization
    • Experience with Java and Spring technologies, required
    • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes preferred
    • MongoDB and Kafka experience preferred
    • Experience with CI/CD tools preferred
    • Git, github experience preferred
    • Willingness to learn functional programming paradigm
    • Superior analytical, problem solving, and creative thinking skills
    • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with both technical team members and stakeholders who may be less technical
    • Agile experience (Scrum/Kanban) preferred
    • Attendance or membership at a Christian church
