Manager & Solutions Architect - Digital Content

Lifeway is hiring a Manager & Solutions Architect to lead our eBook Development Team. In this role, you'll develop, maintain and extend robust digital publishing frameworks and content delivery solutions that encomposs workflows, transformations and content automation. You'll lead a team by establishing and communicating best practices and domain knowledge related to ePUB development. Additionally, you'll serve as the Digital Content Solutions Architect for the Publishing and Ministry Experience Division.

This role is fully remote in the U.S with occasional travel to Nashville, TN. You will be expected to work in-office with team members in Nashville, TN approximately once per month

• Collaborate with the Director of Publishing & Event Technology, publishing and technology leaders, and other strategic internal partners to fulfill the mission, values and strategy for content management solutions
• Effectively plan, organize, manage, and evaluate the work of the Content Management department to consistently meet or exceed production deadlines. Coordinate team workflow and projects, as well as coach, develop and recognize employees
• Provide regular project status reports to team and leadership and escalate issues as necessary
• Design, deploy, and maintain automated event-driven process flows and content transformations to support the strategic and publishing processes of the various publishing teams
• Develop and integrate a robust digital publishing framework through the creation of content ontologies, RESTful API integrations, and extensible content data models utilizing a variety of structured languages (XML, XSLT, JavaScript, JSON, CSS, ePub3) to extend desktop and database publishing sources.
• Serve as product owner for Lifeway's Content Platform and the co-administrator of the enterprise content management (ECM) system (Alfresco/Hyland) to ensure functionality, availability, and reliability.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineer, Information Systems or similar
  • Related work experience may also be considered
• 5 years of people leadership experience where servant leadership was exemplified
• Broad knowledge of digital publishing processes, software, and technology trends with the ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects, solve problems, and consistently have department meet goals and objectives with high quality.
• Strong interpersonal, team building, and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively in a high pressure environment.
• Expert-level technical, analytical, data abstraction, business process modeling, and web development/coding skills. 
• Basic knowledge of Intellectual and Copyright Law.
• Some travel to Nashville for team meetings required (8-12 times per year)
