Overview

Lifeway Marketing is growing! We are seeking the Senior Manager, Web Strategy & Optimization – Remote. The Senior Manager is a key strategic individual who is responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing the customer experience, and keeping up with the latest industry trends and technologies. You will oversee the web strategy team including merchandising, CRO and A/B testing, SEO, internal search, and site analytics.  
 
This role requires a unique blend of skills, including leadership, business acumen, technical knowledge, and digital marketing expertise. You will be responsible for strategizing, planning, and executing all activities related to Lifeway.com including a planned site redesign in 2024 as the company shifts to a B2B mindset. You will develop and lead a team to drive revenue growth, obtain high-quality leads for our sales team and ensure a seamless, engaging online shopping experience. This is a key leadership role with the objective of developing industry-leading experience and cementing our position as a customer focused, trusted resource for churches. 
 
The ideal candidate is a dynamic, high-energy, and outcome-driven owner of web strategy. They will combine their web strategic thinking, technical knowledge, CRO, SEO, analytics, and extensive execution experience to deliver a world-class web experience that is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our customers and the organization. This is a remote position in the U.S. with occasional travel to Nashville for in-person team gatherings. #LI-Remote 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for strategizing, planning, and executing all activities related to Lifeway.com including a planned site redesign in 2024
  • Partners with Director of Digital Marketing to develop and implement the overall ecommerce and lead generation strategies 
  • Identifies new opportunities to enhance Lifeway's online experience
  • Defines and drives execution of the web strategy
  • Responsible for managing, understanding, and optimizing action/results driven customer journeys on Lifeway.com
  • Drives sales growth through effective merchandising, product data/attributes optimization in conjunction with generating high quality leads for the sales team
  • Analyzes sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to identify areas for improvement
  • Monitors and analyzes overall web and digital marketing performance to identify, prioritize and execute appropriately 
  • Develops and delivers key success metrics and OKRs for Lifeway.com
  • Leads and manages the web team, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Fosters the team's growth, including mentorship of direct reports to facilitate professional growth
  • Brings a collaborative and high-performance approach to culture within the team and across all functional areas
  • Designs and implements data driven experimentation/test frameworks to optimize across the funnel from activation to conversion
  • Collaborates with other functional areas including IT, sales, content/brand, and agency partners 
  • 10-15% travel, sometimes overnight

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Online Commerce, Business, or related fields of study

 

Experience Required

  • Lives out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work
  • 7+ years of web strategy and digital marketing (site ownership, merchandising, SEO, CRO, MQL's
  • 3+ years of people management 
  • Proven track record with critical entrepreneurial mindset and skills, proven ability to integrate with Sales / Operations teams 
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership and results oriented mindset
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies and best practices, including those related to management, digital marketing and eCommerce operations 
  • Demonstrated strength in communication and influencing skills

Member and/or actively involved in an evangelical Christian church

 

Preferred Experience

  • Dual experience in both ecommerce and lead generation
