Overview

The Director of Lifeway Women will lead the team in strategy, content development, and the experiences produced that serve women’s ministry leaders and women in the local church. Manage a team of leaders and individual contributors to ensure timelines and objectives are met.  Continuously developing as a thought leader in the women’s ministry space attuned to what is happening in the church and convinced that Lifeway resources can help individuals grow in their understanding of who God is and how to apply His Word to their lives. This role will require cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners and will serve as a member of the Church Ministries Leadership Team.

This is a remote position in the U.S. with occasional travel to Nashville for in-person team gatherings. #LI-Remote

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall strategy of Lifeway Women by supporting the needs of women’s ministry leaders, adult volunteers, and women.
  • Directs day-to-day operations of the Lifeway Women’s team
  • Participation in events and conferences whether leadership events, internal and external, associated with ministry best practices and vision sharing
  • Serves as an ambassador of women’s ministry and Lifeway through key external relationships, speaking engagements, and writing
  • Creating original content and gathering key voices to contribute as voices of influence in women’s ministry
  • Hires, trains, leads, and evaluates a team of Christian content creators ensuring
  • Manages performance and guides the development of team members
  • Executes current year plan by working with all stakeholders to properly align resources to achieve goals
  • Remains current on market trends paying close attention to religious, political, and cultural issues impacting Women’s Ministry 
  • Collaborates across Lifeway with various internal stakeholders in acheiving the goals for Lifeway Women
  • Oversees acquisition, development, and nurturing of authors 
  • 25% travel, sometimes overnight

Qualifications

Education Required

Bachelor's degree in theological training, or related field of study

Master's degree in theology or similar, preferred

 

 

Required Experience

  • Lives out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work
  • 10 years project management including projects, processes, contracts, and relationships
  • 10 years ministry experience – church staff or women’s ministry experience and/or ministry experience with a parachurch or Christian non-profit, which includes speaking engagements and writing
  • Advanced understanding of church polity across Christian denominations
  • 5 years people leadership – experience leading a large team
  • 5 years people development – experience developing a healthy team and culture

Member / active participant in an evangelical Christian church

Southern Baptist, preferred
