Overview

The Senior Manager, Church Equipping - Remote will lead the team in strategy, content development, and experiences produced that serve leaders in the local church. This position will continually develop as a thought leader in the church leadership space attuned to what is happening in the market, committed to continually learning, resolute to understanding the core doctrinal beliefs of those we serve.

This is a remote position in the U.S. with occasional travel to Nashville for in-person team gatherings. #LI-Remote

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall strategy of the Church Equipping team
  • Leads in the provision of content and event experiences that contribute to the effectiveness / health of local church ministry leaders
  • Participates in events and conferences whether leadership events, internal and external, associated with ministry best practices and vision sharing
  • Serves as an ambassador of Lifeway and the Church Equipping team 
  • Creates original content and gathers key voices to contribute as voices of influence for Lifeway’s church equipping efforts
  • Hires, trains, and leads a team of Christian content creators 
  • Manages performance and guides the development of team members
  • Executes current year plan by working with all stakeholders to properly align resources to achieve goals 
  • Maintains current understanding of market trends paying close attention to religious, political, and cultural issues impacting church ministry leaders
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders across Lifeway to achieve long-term and short-term goals 
  • 25% travel, including overnight

Qualifications

Education Required

Bachelor's degree in theological training, or related field of study

 

Required Experience

  • Lives out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work
  • 10 years ministry, church staff and/or ministry experience with a parachurch or Christian non-profit  

  • 8 years  developing content that ministers to the head, heart, and hands of church leaders 

  • 5 years leading a large team  

  • 5 years people developing a healthy team and culture  

Member / active participant in an evangelical Christian church

Southern Baptist, preferred

 

Preferred Skills, Experience, Education

  • Master’s degree in theological training, Christian leadership, or a related field
