Overview

Lifeway Marketing is seeking the Director, Digital Marketing  & E-Commerce - Remote.

 

If you have a passion for finding the right blend of art and science in a digital-first world while leveraging data to deliver insights that help Marketing drive business forward then we’d love to hear from you. You will lead the Digital Experience  & E-Commerce teams and strategy for Lifeway to extend our digital reach and engagement with prospective and current customers. You will own and drive the Strategic Planning, Execution, Measurement & Optimization of the Overall Digital Experience to engage and convert B2B church leader personas (primary) and provide for a consumer (D2C) commerce path to purchase.

 

The Lifeway Digital Experience  & E-Commerce team is a thoughtful, creative and clever team charged with determining how to best get our message across the digital landscape. When 99% of the ecommerce and B2B marketing out there looks the same, great experience design is just as important to being seen & heard as the campaign message. This is where you come in.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and mentors a team of digital marketing professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Develops and implements a comprehensive digital strategy 
  • Leverages paid media, organic social, SEO, email, SMS and websites to enhance customer experience and drive growth 
  • Drives and stewards the Lifeway.com experience by owning the overall & layered web strategy
  • Understands and orchestrates hybrid customer journeys which deliver frictionless experiences
  • Position’s Lifeway as the knowledge resource that is it while also providing industry leading products
  • Leverages the website(s) to engage and support customers across their integrated digital journeys (acquisition, retention, expansion)
  • Oversees the development and optimization of Lifeway’s automated journeys, SMS campaigns and email communications (promotion, nurture, newsletters, etc.)
  • Collaborates closely with the lifecycle and content, events and ministry teams to create a meaningful experience for the church
  • Oversees all aspects of paid media campaigns, including search engine marketing (SEM), display advertising, social media advertising, and retargeting efforts
  • Optimizes budget allocation for maximum ROI
  • Leads the team in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting digital data
  • Leverages tech and best practices to create a culture of testing and optimization across all digital channels
  • Uses insights to inform business decisions, optimize digital marketing strategies, and enhance customer engagement   
  • Streamlines marketing operations through effective management of tools, technologies, and processes
  • Ensures alignment with overall marketing and business objectives, as well as best practices & compliance with relevant regulations
  • Evaluates digital tech stack to ensure right technologies are employed and fully utilized
  • Drives key results, increases efficiency of team and extends digital reach across customer journey
  • Leverage and manage external resources where needed
  • Some travel required, occasionally overnight 

Qualifications

Education Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields

 

 

Required Skills, Experience, & Knowledge 

  • Lives out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work
  • 10+ years of digital marketing experience (performance marketing, search, online advertising, social, email)
    • Must include a combination of ecommerce and B2B lead generation
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Salesforce, Google Analytics, Headless CMS, and B2B experience
  • Success in coaching, leading, and managing a team  
  • Track record of business planning and P&L management experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to results and ability to see the big picture as it relates to Lifeway business overall with eCommerce & lead generation specifically
  • Proven understanding of digital technologies and best practices, including those related to ecommerce and lead generation management, digital marketing and eCommerce operations
  • Critical intrapreneurial mindset and skills, proven ability to integrate with Sales and IT teams  
  • Proven business planning and P&L management experience
  • Demonstrated strength in communication and influencing skills; not only written and verbal, but also in the engagement of internal and external business partners  
  • Experience working in a complex matrixed environment 

Member and/or actively involved in an evangelical Christian church

 

Preferred Skills, Experience, & Knowledge

  • MBA, strongly preferred

  • Adobe Analytics, Marketing Cloud, Contentful, Optimizely experience, preferred
