Overview

Lifeway is hiring a full time Product Manager, Digital Products. The Product Manager, Digital Products will set product vision and roadmaps, be the face and owner of Lifeway’s digital discipleship offerings, and work alongside Church Ministry area leaders to develop a digital product strategy that is centered on the needs of customers. Will determine customer needs, communicate business and customer problems /needs / business requirements to the Technical Platform Manager. This role will require cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners and will serve as a member of the Church Ministries Leadership Team.

This is a remote position in the U.S. with occasional travel to Nashville for in-person team gatherings.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Following is a summary of the essential functions. Other duties may be performed which are not mentioned below.

  • Strategic Leadership – Responsible for the development and execution of Lifeway’s digital product strategy. Set the vision and roadmap for Lifeway’s digital offerings determining business stakeholders, metrics for success, pricing strategies, and writing business requirements.
  • Thought Leadership – Utilize market research and industry best standards, collect and analyze customer feedback, be the owner of the product internally and externally, and initiate cross-functional teams with learned data and product enhancement recommendations.
  • Financial Plan – Execute current year plan by working with all stakeholders to properly align resources to achieve goals identified in the operations budget.
  • Market Knowledge – Determine customer needs, use cases, and anticipate future needs of church leaders to develop digital product platforms and resources that chart what’s next for Lifeway’s customers. Continually develop an awareness of Lifeway’s product offerings guiding the team to think digitally as resources are created.
  • Collaboration –Collaborates with Church Ministries Leadership team, Technical Platform Manager, UX, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support to achieve long-term and short-term goals of Lifeway’s digital product strategy. Other duties assigned. 

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Minimum Required Experience:

  • 8 years of product management, strong preference given to technology products
  • 8 years leadership in IT project management or digital publishing.
  • 5 years leadership in a church, non-profit or parachurch organization.

Other Job Requirements:

  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 
  • Membership/active in a Southern Baptist church preferred
  • Travel - 10%
