Overview

We are looking for a highly collaborative Remote Senior Software Development Engineer - Cloud who is motivated and interested in building applications, services, and integrations between other internal systems and Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Service Cloud. This role will work with an event-driven architecture and reactive microservices to deliver mission-critical business solutions using technologies in Salesforce and AWS. Specifically, you will create, implement, maintain, test, and review code for the necessary components and services for Lifeway's Customer Insights team. You will work independently in a very collaborative environment with teammates from various backgrounds coming together to solve challenging problems as a team. You will also work closely with members from our Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to understand their needs. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality is important.

This is a remote position in the U.S. with occasional travel to Nashville for in-person team gatherings. #LI-Remote 

 

Responsibilities

  • Learn new technologies and patterns quickly with limited oversight
  • Drives technical designs and architectural direction of integrations with Salesforce and AWS Cloud 
  • Develop technical solutions for aggregating, transforming, and enhancing Customer Data 
  • Build low latency, loosely coupled services that achieve asynchronous communication by utilizing message-driven or event-driven architecture 
  • Design, build, test, and maintain front-end applications and microservices
  • Develop processes that deliver data to downstream applications like a CRM 
  • Develop and improve relationships with internal customers and other teams 
  • Troubleshoots and resolves technical problems

Qualifications

  • Lives out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work 
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related degree preferred 
  • 5-7 years of experience in the following:
    • Agile experience (Scrum/Kanban) 
    • Experience with JavaScript, Typescript, NodeJS 
    • Experience with SQL and No SQL databases 
    • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices 
    • Experience with SPA applications using modern frameworks (React, Vue, Angular or similar) 
    • Git, github experience 
    • Exposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services) or other cloud technology experience including AWS Lambdas 
    • Exposure to Message-driven or Event-driven architecture preferred 
    • Exposure to cloud application architecture preferred 
  • Inquisitive self-starter and team player 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills 
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud experience a plus 
  • Some travel required
