Overview

Lifeway is seeking an experienced Email Marketing Specialist to join our team and lead the email development/creation process from concept through implementation. This role will leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HTML, and CSS to create engaging, responsive, and dynamic email communications that drive customer engagement and support business goals The ideal candidate will help create and manage end-to-end email campaigns, optimize performance through A/B testing and data analysis, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance email marketing strategies.

This is a remote position in the U.S. with occasional travel to Nashville for in-person team gatherings. #LI-Remote 

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire email development process, including gathering requirements, understanding business goals, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch analysis.
  • Utilize HTML and CSS to create responsive, personalized, and visually appealing email communications that enhance usability and engagement.
  • Conduct ongoing post-campaign analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Develop and execute A/B tests, strategies, and segmentation based on behavior insights to improve email performance metrics.
  • Identify optimization opportunities within Salesforce Marketing Cloud and recommend ongoing process improvements.
  • Collaborate with technology partners to troubleshoot Salesforce Marketing Cloud functionality issues and resolve root causes.
  • Manage and execute CRM strategies, including customer journeys and nurturing, in collaboration with the Marketing team.
  • Analyze and report on email campaign results to drive further optimizations and enhance performance.
  • Share knowledge of email marketing best practices and contribute to team improvement through learning and collaboration.
  • Occasional travel, sometimes overnight

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience, required

  • 4+ years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including journey creation and management.
  • 2+ years of experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, with deep knowledge of managing Campaigns using Campaign and Campaign Members objects.
  • Expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Connect integration management.
  • Advanced understanding and practical application of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Data Extensions, and AmpScript.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and responsive design for email templates, ensuring optimal mobile experiences.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and a track record of successfully managing complex projects.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Versatility and flexibility in managing competing demands and effectively prioritizing tasks.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills, including experience interacting with senior-level executives.
  • Team player with outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to collaboration.
  • Passion for self-improvement and learning from others, with a proactive approach to seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Actively involved in an evangelical Christian church

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience, preferred

  • Experience managing direct mail integration, data management, and social media/customer service integration within Salesforce Sales Cloud.
  • Familiarity with standard internet and email technologies and protocols.
  • Natural teacher in sharing email marketing knowledge, trends, and best practices with the team.
