Overview

The Senior Salesforce Administrator is responsible for support, maintenance, and enhancements to the Salesforce platform under the guidance of the Software Development Manager.

This is a remote position in the U.S. with occasional travel to Nashville for in-person team gatherings. #LI-Remote 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Service Cloud Voice, and Marketing Cloud platforms.
  • Manage integrated applications and third-party suppliers including (but not limited to) Marketing Cloud, Outlook, Inbox and Inbox Mobile, Intercom, Attentive, GearSet, OwnBackup, etc.
  • Coordinate with IT Operations and Security teams on user setup/deactivation by managing single-sign-on integrations, profiles, permission sets and groups, roles, public groups, queues, OWD and sharing rules.
  • Build and maintain Salesforce configurations including (but not limited to): flows, assignment rules, approval processes, page layouts, lightning record pages, search layouts, compact layouts, actions, files, mobile administration, and list views.
  • Make changes to objects, record types, fields, validation rules, Apex triggers and classes to support business needs.
  • Work with other departments to gather data, load data, and update data in Salesforce using tools like Data Loader.
  • Support the communication of any platform changes (both custom and Salesforce introduced) to trainers, end users and stakeholders.
  • Proactively monitor release updates, security reviews, health checks and optimizations to identify new opportunities, necessary adjustments, and potential improvements.
  • Implement and maintain data backup and recovery tools.
  • Resolve user support tickets.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Contribute to platform roadmap planning and prioritization with Salesforce Solutions Manager and Business Analyst. 
  • Follow change management best practices to maintain a consistent, reliable deployment pipeline. 
  • Attend and contribute to regular sprint ceremonies including standups, backlog grooming, kickoffs, and retros. 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience, required:

  • Minimum 5 years of Salesforce Administration hands-on experience with Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud.
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator required.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Power Point, Outlook, Access, Excel, etc.
  • Attention to detail and precision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience, preferred:

  • Advanced Administrator and Platform App Builder certifications preferred.
  • Understanding of Marketing Cloud preferred.
  • Understanding of Triggers and APEX preferred. Certified Platform 1 Developer a plus.
