Overview

Lifeway is seeking a Women's Ministry Specialist to serve as a national thought leader and strategic voice for equipping women in the evangelical church. In this remote role, you will develop training programs, build networks of ministry leaders, oversee content creation, and collaborate cross-functionally with the Lifeway Women's team to deliver resources that strengthen local churches across the country. If you have deep church ministry experience, a passion for developing other leaders, and a gift for speaking, writing, and building relationships, this is a rare opportunity to shape women's ministry on a national scale.

This is a remote position in the U.S. with occasional travel to Nashville for in-person team gatherings. #LI-Remote 

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for national training programs, events, and content designed to equip women for ministry in evangelical churches
  • Serve as a thought leader and public voice for both ministry to women and women serving in broader ministry roles — speaking, teaching, and writing to advance key messages and equip church leaders
  • Build and cultivate networks of women's ministry leaders nationally, connecting with existing networks
  • Develops trainers who can deliver Lifeway's programs and content
  • Oversee content development across multiple formats — including courses, articles, video training, online training, and live events — selecting and guiding trainers and contributors
  • Collaborate actively with the Lifeway Women's leadership team to ensure a unified, mission-aligned approach to resourcing women's ministry leaders and women in local churches
  • Represent Lifeway in the evangelical community as a credible, trusted voice on women's ministry strategy and leadership development
  • Significant travel (20+ events), often overnight

 

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree, required

Master's degree, ministry or theological field (Seminary MRE, MCM, MM, MTS, or M.Div.), preferred

Advanced graduate degree (PhD, etc.), not required

 

Skills, Knowledge, & Experiences, required

  • 8 or more years of church staff or denominational ministry experience
  • 5 or more years of event planning and content development experience
  • Expert-level relationship management and network-building skills
  • Expert-level interpersonal communication skills — written and verbal
  • Excellent public speaking and teaching ability across diverse evangelical contexts
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to travel as needed for team gatherings and ministry events

Member / actively involved in an evangelical Christian church

Southern Baptist, strongly preferred

 

Skills & Experience, Preferred

  • Southern Baptist church background or familiarity with the SBC landscape
  • Experience developing national or multi-church training programs
  • Established networks within evangelical women's ministry circles
  • Seminary-level theological education
