Bilingual Publishing Assistant – Spanish Books (Part-Time)

Lifeway is seeking a detail-driven, bilingual (Spanish/English) Publishing Assistant to support our B&H Español Spanish Books team. In this part-time, remote role you'll keep Spanish-language titles moving from acquisition to launch. You'll make sure the product information readers see on Amazon, Lifeway.com, and retail sites around the world is accurate in both languages, and you'll keep contractor, contract, and invoice work organized and on time. 

Approximately 18-22 hours per week; morning work hour (8am-Noon CST) availability, preferred.

                               This is a remote part-time position in the contiguous 48 United States #LI-Remote    #LI-PT

• Lives out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work
• Builds new product records in Firebrand for each Spanish-language title, including titles, authors, descriptions, pricing, BISAC codes, pub dates, and specs 
• Writes, translates, and polishes author bios and product descriptions in Spanish and English with the Sr. Manager, Spanish Books 
• Keeps product records current through editing and production, then finalizes all metadata once a book goes to press Protect the accuracy of data that feeds Amazon, Lifeway.com, and retail and distribution partners worldwide 
• Submits contract requests for freelance editors and translators, checks Legal's drafts against the request, route them for signature, and log executed contracts
• Onboards new contractors with IRS and ACH forms and new-supplier requests
• Codes invoices to the right budget and expense codes, enter them in Oracle, and keep records archived
• Prepares seasonal tipsheets and quarterly pre-launch presentations for sales and trade teams
• Submits copyright registrations each quarter and helps with author and contractor travel
• Tracks license agreements and flag upcoming expirations and renewals 
• Minimal travel is possible, likely overnight

Education

Associate's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required 

Bachelor's degree, preferred

Masters degree,  preferred

Advanced graduate degree (PhD, etc.), not required

Skills, Knowledge, & Experiences, required

• 2+ years in administrative support, operations coordination, or publishing support 

• Professional bilingual fluency in Spanish and English, written and spoken, with highly accurate written Spanish 

• Experience working with vendors, contractors, or outside partners in a professional setting 

• Sharp attention to detail and consistency when entering and maintaining product data 

• Working knowledge of workflow and tracking tools (e.g., Firebrand, monday.com) and of invoice, vendor, and documentation processes 

• Foundational experience tracking license agreements, contract expirations, and renewals 

Actively involved in an evangelical Christian church

Skills, Knowledge, & Experiences, preferred 

• Morning work hour availability (8am-Noon CST)
• Publishing operations, title management system (such as Firebrand), or product data entry experience in a publishing or retail setting 

• Familiarity with Oracle or a similar financial/procurement system 

• Experience supporting a Spanish-language publishing or ministry team
